Trailer

Lili and Tata are best friends. Their friendship helps them get through the most difficult stages of life. Unfortunately for them, Lili is forced to move to another country. In hopes to keep in touch and escape from the hated reality, the girls create their own world in online chat, called "Syntopia."

In this small virtual world, they avoid the harsh reality. However, the girls unintentionally bring their anxieties into Syntopia. Suddenly, their utopian world begins to crumble.

Will the girls maintain their friendship? Will they be able to cope with reality? The player will have to find answers to these questions and help the girls not to lose their friendship and themselves.

About The Project

"Syntopia" is my graduation project from the Screen Based Arts Department at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. Although the department primarily focuses on short films and animation, I decided that a video game would be a more fitting medium for this story.

In the end "Syntopia" turned to be a big project that I working on it till today. Thanks to it I meat new people and learned a lot of new things like in-game script writing, game design basics, drawing techniques and more.

"Syntopia" continues and expands the narrative from my third-year film "I'm Leaving To...".

Final Exhibition

A the end of every year at Bezalel all the graduated students have to participate in a final exhibition. It is a part of delivering the project. Because a video game isn't a film that I could show on the large screen at the auditorium, I decided to establish an installation.

I created a spice divided into two different "rooms". Each of them represented the rooms of the girls from the game. In every "room," there was a stand where you could play "Syntopia" and behind the stands was a large screen that showed my 3rd-year film which is a starting concept of the game.

All the installation space was fully functional and there were small "Easter Eggs" hidden.
